The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Ewing occurred on last Wednesday. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ford, near Orient since the death of her husband, uncle Tom Ewing, several years ago. She was eighty-six years old and with her husband settled in Richland township in 1855, and the first religious services of the community were held at their home. The funeral was on Friday afternoon at Zion and interment was at the Union cemetery where her husband had been buried.
