From the Creston News Advertiser: “Bill Yearington, 59, of Osceola, formerly of Corning, died May 24, 2004, in San Fidel, N.M. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. The Rev. Dan Siepker, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, will officiate the service. Burial will be in Victoria Cemetery at Massena. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday with family receiving friends 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Corning. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Mr. Yearington, son of Dorothy Marie (Ternahan) and Charles William Yearington, was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Tulsa, Okla. He graduated from Corning High School in 1963. On May 29, 1964, he married Georgia Mary Burg in Massena. He was a truck driver for Colonial Bread for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Yearington of Osceola; his parents, Charles and Dorothy Yearington of Corning; three sons, Michael (wife Karla) Yearington, Kevin Yearington and Shawn (wife Erin) Yearington, all of Osceola; a daughter, Jody (husband Gary) Gray of Ames; a brother, Ed Yearington of Carlisle; three sisters, Lois VanNess of Nora Springs, Mary Jo Priekulis of Des Moines and Kay (husband David) Williams of Phoenix, Ariz.; and mother-in-law, Ruth Burg of Bridgewater. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Yearington; father-in-law, Leo Burg; a sister-in-law, LaDonna Burg; and a brother-in-law, Paul VanNess.”
