Frank Sackett was almost nine years old when he came to Grove Township. On October 28,1888, he was married to Flora D. Wallace, daughter of William and Mary Wallace. Her family had come to Cass County when she was two. Frank and Flora farmed in Grove, Walnut and Jefferson Townships until 1908, when they bought his father's farm, which is still held by the family. There they spend spent the rest of their lives. Frank passed away in 1936, and Flora in 1948.

Frank and Flora had a family of seven children: Deola died in 1960; *Art married Edith Lewis (had seven children *LeRoy, *Velma (Tiederman); Arlene (Bunche); *Frank; *Vera (Schneider); *Harry; and Lou (Maynes).

Frank's son, *Hiram, married *Dorothy Latta (has two daughters; Donna (Blesie) and *Kay (Harris), who lives on her family's farm in Section 8). *Stewart (See history); Dallas, deceased in 1907; *Dora, married *Arley Nelson and has one son, Edward L.; *Mary married *Claire Johnston (had six children: Wayne (deceased), Merle, Wanda (Lauer), *Donald, *Iona (Van Vleet), and *Bobby). All have been residents of Adair County.

*Stewart Sackett and *Lillian Martin were married December 11, 1926. They bought the ancestral Hiram Sackett farm from the parents' estate in 1948. They have one daughter, *Ilah, who was married to *Merle Shaefer on May 20, 1948. In January, 1949, Merle and Ilah moved to the family farm, where they have reared their family of three daughters: Elaine married Danny Haines (has three sons―Mark, Brian, and Jason); Janet married Andrew Gentle; *Mary Kay married Wayne Shannon, of Bridgewater. Ilah's daughters are the fifth generation of the family to live on the family in Section 26.
