Church Wedding At Luzerne Sat

Miss Helen Buch Became Bride of Dewey Waychoff

A pretty, wedding was solemnized at the Lutheran church at Luzerne on Saturday afternoon, April 24th at 3 o’clock when Miss Helen Buch became the bride of Dewey Waychoff in the presence of about ninety guests.

Entering the church preceded by the ushers, Waldo Niebuhr and Martin Stolpher came the bridesmaids, Thelman Wiese and Luella Niebuhr; the maid of honor, Miss Alvera Tanck; the flower girls, Lucille Buch and Ilene Niebuhr; the ring bearer Betty Ann Waychoff, then the bride on the arm of her father and the party was met at the altar by the bridegroom and the best man, Rudolph Schroeder, Preceding the ceremony Miss Esther Buch played Lohengrin’s Wedding March and Miss Kate Kluss sang, "Beloved, ?t Is Morn.”

Rev. Bohnhoff used the beautiful double ring ceremony. The bride wore a flesh georgette gown with long veil and carried a shower of roses and sweet'peas.

Immediately following the ceremony the wedding party and the invited guests assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Buch where a wedding dinner was served followed by an informal reception.

The bride is the charming and only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Buch of Keystone and she was reared in that community. She is a graduate of the high school at Keystone and attended college at Ames and Coe at Cedar Rapids. For the past two years she has taught school in her home district.

The groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Wayckoff of Watkins, Iowa, is a hustling young farmer and highly respected by his friends. The young people will live on the former Anna Wilson farm which has been made ready for occupancy and they started housekeeping immediately after their marriage.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Waychoff have a host of friends who will wish them well in their new relationship in life.
