Phyllis F. Drake Wed To Soldier.
Marriage Ceremony Takes Place At Ft. Bragg Chapel.
Miss Phyllis F. Drake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Drake of Blairstown and Cpl. Jack V. Swanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Swanson of Ames, were married Nov. 6 at 2 p. m. in the post chapel at Fort Bragg, N. C. The post chaplain officiated at the service and the organist was Cpl. Frank Murch. The altar was decorated with palms and chrysanthemums.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two piece aqua wool crepe ensemble with brown accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Drake was attired in a brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses.
A graduate of the Blairstown high school, Mrs. Swanson attended Lindenwood college in St. Charles, Mo., for two years, where she was a member of Alpha Psi Omega society. She was graduated from the University of Iowa and hag been employed in the accounting department at radio station WMT.
Cpl. Swanson, a graduate of Ames high school, attended Iowa State college at Ames for two years and the University of Iowa for two years. He is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Cpl. Swansea is stationed at Fort Bragg and the couple will make their home in Fayetteville, N. C.
