Miss Gertrude Purcell of Garrison and George Kelly of Vinton kept their marriage a secret for four weeks. They were married a month ago at Waverly where Mr. Kelly was working at the time.

Young People Wed February Seventh
Roy Kelly and Florence O’Brien United in Marriage by Father Hogan.
Roy Kelly of Van Horne and Florence M. O’Brien of Luzerne were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at Holy Cross church near Keystone Wednesday, February 7, at 9 o’clock by Father Hogan. They were attended by Evelyn O’Brien, sister of the bride and Clarence Kelly, brother of the groom.
The bride was clad in a dark blue broadcloth suit with a large picture hat to match and the groom wore blue serge.
After the ceremony a five course wedding dinner was served to about 75 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas O’Brien of Luzerne is loved and respected by all who know her. She is one of the most popular young ladies in the community where she has always lived. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kelly residing south of town and is one of Van Horne’s most promising young farmers.
The happy young couple will go to housekeeping on a farm two miles south of town in the immediate future Their many friends and acquaintances unite in wishing them a long and happy married life.
