GESSNER - BRECHT

Miss Hellena Gessner and Mr. John V. Brecht United in Marriage

On Tuesday morning, Sept 25th at 9 o'clock a.m., occurred the marriage of Miss Hellena Gessner to Mr. John V. Brecht, two well known young people of this vicinity. Rev. Father Drexler pronounced the impressive words of the Catholic marriage service.

The bride was led to the alter by John Gessner, a brother of the bride, followed by the groom and brides maid, Miss Minnie Brecht, a sister of the groom. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of pearl colored silk and carried a bouquet of flowers. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gessner and is loved and respected by a host of friends and will go to her new home, carrying with her the best wishes of all for a prosperous and happy life.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Brecht, who reside south of town, and is a young man of thrift and commendable habits. He has the warmest congratulations and best wishes of many friends.

After the ceremony at the church the guests repaired to the home of the brides parents where a gorgeous and bountiful dinner was served. The Norway Concert band furnished the music for the dance, for which purpose a large pavilion had been erected. Refreshments were plentiful and everyone, from far and near, enjoyed a season of jolly social fun.

Hosts of relatives and acquaintances are unanimous in their wishes for a long and prosperous future for Mr. and Mrs. John V. Brecht.
