They are believed to have come from the Schwabstedt area of Holstein, Germany to America
about 1866. Johann was an architect, cabinet maker and farmed in Iowa Township
of Benton Co., IA. He died of diabetes on November 28, 1900 and is buried with
his wife at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, IA. |
