Garold C. Wright Dies; Funeral Services Monday
Garold C. Wright
Garold C. Wright, 67, long time Vinton barber and sport shop owner, died this morning at Virginia Gay hospital where he had bee a patient three days.
He was born May 16, 1901, at Ipava Ill., a son of Elmer and Grace Bartlett Wright. He married Elsie Marie McCaw on August 29, 1921 at Vinton, and was a Vinton barber over 50 years.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Lt. Cmdr. WIlliam J. Wright of Great Lakes, Ill.; two grandchildren, Kay and Gary; and his mother, Mrs. Grace Wright of Vinton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the First Methodist church, with Rev. Robert P. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery..Friends may call at the Fry and Holland funeral home after 7 p.m., Saturday.

Mrs. Wright Dies Today
Grace May Bartlett Wright
Mrs. Grace May Bartlett Wright, 91, died Friday morning at the Virginia Gay hospital.
She was born Sept. 30, 1876, at Green River, Ill., a daughter of Hiram and Bethima Bartlett, and married Elmer J. Wright in 1900.
She is survived by one grandson, Lt. Cmdr. W.J. Wright, stationed at Great Lakes, Ill., and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Garolod.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Fry and Holland funeral home, with Rev. C.W. Staley and Lt. Cmdr. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m., Saturday.

J.E. Wright of Vinton is Dead: Ill a Long Time

Vinton News - Following an illness of several years with heart disease, J.E. Wright, 64, retired Vinton business man, died this morning at 6:45 at his home on Second Avenue. He had been confined to his home for three months. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3:00, conducted by the Rev V.L. Currier in the Fay W. Hite & Co. funeral parlors. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr Wright came to Vinton 24 years ago from Holdrege, Neb. For a number of years he operated a barber shop, later engaging in the restaurant business. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and a member of the Spanish War Veterans organization.
Born March 11, 1872 at Ipava, Illinois, a son of the late George and Sarah Wright. John Elmer Wright was married at Table Grove, Ill to Miss Grace Bartlett who survives him. Other relatives living are an only son Garold Wright of Vinton, one grandson, Billy Wright, three brothers and one sister.
