Bessie Tupper
Dysart — Mrs. J. M. Tupper, 73 at Vinton hospital after an illness of three weeks; nee Bessie E. Lloyd, daughter of Even and Jane Lloyd, Dec. 1. 1871, at Arena. Wis.; was one of a family of 10 children; married to J. M. Tupper Aug. 30, 1893 at Mazomanie, Wis., where Mr. Tupper was employed as a buttermaker; Mr. and Mrs. Tupper lived for a time at Popejoy, Ia., and moved to Dysart in 1913 where he owned and operated the Tupper grocery store 25 vears; the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1943; leaves husband, two children. Lloyd, Highland Park, Ill., and Mrs. Cecil Fietcher, of Vinton; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Merrick, Janesvilie, Wis., and Mrs. Kate Baker, Popejoy; four grandchildren; was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and of the Order of the Eastern Star, which had charge of the services at the grave Tuesday.
