Services Friday the Victor for Daughter of Leonard Thys
Luann Maria Thys
Final rites for Lueann Maria, 2, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Thys of Hartwark, were held in St. Bridget's church in Victor Saturday, Nov. 24, at 9 a.m.
The Rev. A. U. Hauber celebrated the Mass of the Angels. Mass servers were Robert and John Thys.
St. John's school choir sang at the services. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery at Victor. Casketbearers were Jimmy and Danny Scandridge, David Hermand and Norman DeGeeter.
She was born at the Corn Belt hospital in Belle Plaine Dec. 2, 1954, and passed away at an Iowa City hospital Nov. 21 while undergoing a delicate heart operation. She had suffered a serious heart condition since birth and had been a patient at the hospital for two weeks.
She is survived by her parents, three sisters, Judy, Joan and Kathy; two brothers, Jim and Ray, all at home. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fitzgerald of Luzerne and Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Thys of Victor and host of relatives.
