Sara Jane Thatcher
Mrs. S. L. [Samuel Lyman] Hatcher died very suddenly last Thursday evening. Busy about her household affairs as usual she was stricken with alarming illness at 5 o'clock and at about half past seven passed away. She had been a resident of Vinton twenty-eight years and was nearly fifty three years of age. At the funeral services Saturday afternoon a large number of friends assembled to show their esteem for the departed and to sympathize with bereaved husband and son and daughter.
