Mildred Shanks
Former Teacher Died At Waterloo
Mrs. J. H. Shanks Will be Remembered Here as Mildred Edwards.
Mrs. J. H. Shanks, nee Mildred Edwards, a former home economics teacher at the high school in this city, passed away at Waterloo, Iowa, on Tuesday morning, April 27th at 9 o’clock. By her death a ten day old babe is bereft of a mothers tender care.
Mrs. Shanks made many friends during her residence in this city in 1918 and 1919 who will regret to learn of her untimely dearth.
Besides her parents, Judge and Mrs. M. F. Edwards of Parkersburg, Iowa, and her husband and baby daughter, she is survived by another little daughter, four years of age.
Funeral service's were held today, Thursday, April 29th.
