Mrs. Lena Sevening Dies Suddenly at Her Norway Home

NORWAY. - Death came suddenly Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. to Mrs. Lena Sevening of Norway, 72, who had been in her usual health during the day and did not complain of illness in the evening. Her death followed a heart attack. Funeral rites will be held Friday morning at 9:30 in the St. Michael Catholic church by the Rev. Wm. Kunkle. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.
Mrs. Sevening had lived in Benton county all her life. A daughter of George and Elizabeth Smith, she was born Dec. 20, 1862, at Norway. Her marriage to Jacob Sevening occurred Nov. 4, 1883. They farmed north of Norway. Mr. Sevening died Oct. 6, 1913. The widow retired here nineteen years ago. A son and daughter preceded the mother in death.
Eight daughters living are: Mrs. Julia Boddicker and Mrs. Lena Boddicker, of Newhall, Mrs. Anna Frimml, Mrs. Elizabeth Schulte, Mrs. Tillie Frimml, Mrs. Kathryn Volz, and Mrs. Ida Pickart, of Norway, and Miss Irene Sevening living with the mother.
