John C. Russell, 80, Newhall, Dies in Vinton Hospital
John Charles Russell
John C. Russell, 80, Newhall, died in the Vinton hospital at 11:45 a.m. today, following an extended illness.
He was born September 23, 1880, near Newhall, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Russell. He never married.
Surviving are a sister Mrs. Mabel Graham of Shellsburg and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Newhall Presbyterian church on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Kauppinen will officiate. Burial will be in the Parker's Grove Cemetery.
