FRANK RIEDER, 55, DIED OF HEART ATTACK MONDAY

Frank J. Rieder, 55, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Monday afternoon at about 4:30. Although Mr. Rieder had been in ill health for some time, his death was unexpected.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 09:30 in St. John's church with Father Joseph Wiehl officiating. Linda Van Steenhuyse was the organist and the church choir sang. Burial was in St. Patrick's and Paul's cemetery near Watkins.

Casket bearers were Leo and George Peiper and Clarence and Francis Kueney.

Frank John Rieder, the son of the late Antone and Mary Ann Rieder was born in Hammond, Ind., on July 8, 1901. He came to Iowa with his parents when a baby and grew to manhood on a farm northeast of Blairstown.

On Sept 25, 1929 he was married to Rose McCormick at Van Horne. They farmed all their married life in Benton county, and in 1954 retired and moved into their present home in Blairstown.

Mr. Rieder was a member of St. John's church and The Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife; a son Russell of Newhall; two daughters, Mrs. Delores Clark of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Dorothy Schulte of Norway; six grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard of Vinton, and Anthony of LeClaire, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Russell Marquis of Marshalltown.

He was preceded in death by a son, John, his parents, and two brothers.
