Alexander Ratner
Alexander Elias Ratner, 85, of 1810 Ridgewood terrace SE, a Cedar Rapids resident most of his life, died Tuesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a brief illness.
Born Aug 8, 1889, in New York City, he was a retired employee of Collins radio Co., Mr. Ratner was a member of St. John's Episcopal church, Mt. Hermon lodge, American Legion and Collins Radio Technical Assn.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Boyd Beatty, Shellsburg; a son Robert Beatty Shellsburg; a son, Robert Ratner, Madison, Wis., five grandchildren, and two sisters, Sarah and Ann, both of new York city.
Services: St. John's Episcopal church at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Very Rev. Canon D. A. Loferski officiating. Burial Shellsburg cemetery...
