Ida Bell Meeks
Ida Bell Meeks Shellsburg- Ida Bell Meeks, 60 died late Monday morning, October 21, 1991, at her Shellsburg residence following an extended illness.
She was born August 13, 1931, in Shellsburg to Orville and Elsie (Greenwood) Lint. She married Paul Meeks in Cedar Rapids November 15, 1947.
A lifelong member of the Shellsburg community, Mrs. Meeks was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, Shellsburg; one son, Carl, and his wife, LaVonne, Louisville, KY; one daughter, Carol Trester, Vinton; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Beulah Neal, Center Point, Charlotte (Mrs. Tom) Robinson, Shellsburg, and Alice Toomey, Orange Park, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Keith Lint.
Public graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 23 at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg, with Dr. Steve Minor conducting the committal service.

Garrison, Aug. 29 — Mrs. L. J. Meeks, 64 years old, who had suffered from a complication of ailments the last ten years, died last night at ten o’clock at Garrison, Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. in the Methodist church here and interment will be in the Garrison cemetery.
Malinda Grimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Eli Grimm, was born April 10, 1867, in Jones county, Iowa. Her marriage to L. J. Meeks occurred in Benton county in 1885. Surviving are the husband and two children: J. K. Meeks of Mt. Auburn and Mrs. W. A. Koster, of Atkins.
