Sudden Death.
Mary A. Leibsch
Mrs. John Leibsch at her home in Polk township, suddenly passed to the other shore on Friday last, aged about 51 years, Mrs. Leibsch had been suffering somewhat with rheumatism for some days. Friday morning while doing her work she felt a strange feeling come over her and sat down in her chair. Her son, J. P. coming in the house his mother complained of feeling queer and asked him to assist her to the sofa which he did. In a few moments Mrs. Leibsch breathed her last. Mrs. Leibsch came to this country from Germany when she was ten years old. She married John Leibsch at Marion, Iowa, twenty-nine years ago. The worthy couple have lived in Polk township, this county, ever since. A husband [and] three grown sons are left to mourn a kind wife and loving mother. The family has many friends in this county who deeply sympathize with them. Funeral services were held at the house Sunday last at 10 o'clock a. m., Rev. Mershon officiating. The remains were laid away in the Kesling (sic) cemetery.
