Fatal Accident

We regret to have to record an accident which occurred at Buckeye in this township on Tuesday, and which proved fatal. Mrs. Kreger, widow of Wm. Kreger, a lady of about 50 to 60 years of age, had started to go to some place with her son. A gun which they had with them, in some way, exactly how is not known, became discharged. The charge in both barrels passed thro' Mrs. K's leg above the knee. Dr. McMorris, of this place, was called, but not until several hours had elapsed, and at that time she had lost so much blood that her life could not be saved. Probably if surgical assistance had been had in season the result would have been different.
