Stroke is fatal to Dysart Resident at age of 61 - Funeral will be held Today. Mrs. Henry Junge, 61, died shortly before midnight Monday at the Junge home in west Dysart. She was the victim of a stroke, suffered on Sunday. Mrs. Junge has been in failing health recently, but was bedfast only five days before her passing. She has been a resident of the Dysart community practically her entire life and her unexpected death was a shock to her many friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock this Friday afternoon in the Zion Lutheran Church, here, conducted by the Rev. E. J. Braun. Mrs. Arlene Oster and Mrs. Anna Mae Palmer, accompanied by Mrs. Dora Hansen, will sing "In the Garden" and "Rock of Ages." Casket bearers, all nephews of the decedent, will be Lester Selk, Arlan Lorensen, Glenn Stein, Ben Allers, Edward Junge, and Roy Homire. Burial will be in Dysart Cemetery.

Alvena Margaret Stein, daughter of Henry and Doris Stein, was born Oct 6, 1880, in Homer township. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and attended the Homer township schools. SHe was married on Sep 25, 1900, at Toledo, to Henry Junge. The couple settled in Elberon for a year and then farmed for some time in Homer township. The Junge family lived for two years on a farm near Butterfield, Minn., and then returned here to poerate farms in Clark and Homer townships. They retired to Dysart in 1926.

Surviving are the husband; two sons, Eldo Junge, of Keystone, and Henry Junge, Jr. of Dysart; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Schuldt, of Traer, Mrs. Viola Fink, of Keystone, Mrs. Hilda Goodwin, of Dysart, and Darlene Junge at home; six grandchildren; two brothers, John Stein and Louie Stein, of Dysart; anbd one sister, Mrs. Herman Selk, of Dysart.

RESPECTED MOTHER CALLED TO REST

Mrs. Hans Junge Died Thursday Afternoon at Home of her Daughter.

Mrs. Gesche Junge, one of the south slope's old residents, died last Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Eggers, after an illness of about a month.

Mrs. Junge was born in Holstein, Germany, April 1, 1838, and at the time of her death was 78 years and 26 days old. She was married in her native country to Hans Junge on Feb. 22, 1856. Her husband died May 27, 1902. Thirteen children were born to this union, ten of whom survive the mother, and all of whom were present at her death. They are Mewis, Hans and Peter, all of the Keystone neighborhood, John at Elberon, Henry at Dysart, Mrs. Margaretha Witt, Mrs. Mary Hennings, Mrs. Anna Allers, and Mrs. Emma Eggers, all of Keystone, and Mrs. Lena Homire of Elberon. One Daughter, Mrs. Gesche Schluntz, died at Belle Paine in 1902. Two infant children died in Germany.

Mr. and Mrs. Junge and family came to America and settled at Belle Plaine in June, 1883, and in that neighborhood the deceased resided until the death of her husband and from then until her death made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Eggers, coming to Keystone with them about thee years ago.

The funeral was held from the Eggers home Sunday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. Christensen of Dysart, and the remains were laid to rest in the Keystone cemetery.

The children of the late Mrs. Junge desire through the Bulletin to express their heartfelt thanks to all the friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and sympathy during the illness and death of their mother.

Hans Junge

Hans Junge died at his home twelve miles southeast of Dysart Wednesday morning, after an illness of one week with paralysis. Deceased was born in Holstein, Germany, in 1832 and twenty years ago came to America with his family and located in Benton County, Iowa, where he has since resided. Several grown children reside in this locality. Mr. Junge was well known in the county where he lived for a score of years and was universally respected. The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. H Christiansen conducting the same. Interment in Keystone cemetery.

Henry Junge, 72 Has Fatal Stroke

On Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock funeral services for Henry Junge, Sr., 72, were conducted at the home in Dysart with Rev. P.W. Pfaltzgraff, pastor of the Van Horne Lutheran church, officiating. Mr Junge died August 21 of a stroke suffered on Monday. Miss Nelda Schlue and Mrs Dean Curtis, Van Horne sang "In the Garden" and "Rock of Ages". Casket bearers were Rudy Homire, Ed Junge, Lester Selk, Ben Eggers, Arlen Lorenzen and Elmer Stein. Interment was in the Dysart cemetery.

Mr. Junge was born August 16, 1876 in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He came with his parents to America at the age of seven. The family located on a farm near Keystone, where he grew to manhood. On Sep 25, 1900 he married Alvena Stein. The couple engaged in farming near Keystone then moved to Butterfield, Minn., where they farmed two years. On returning to Iowa they bought a farm three miles southwest of Dysart where they farmed until they retired to Dysart in 1912. Surviving are two sons, Eldo and Henry, Jr. of Keystone; three daughters, Mrs. Lester Fink of Traer, Mrs Eldon Goodwin and Mrs. Melvin Foley of Dysart.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Elmer Schuldt, Dysart.
