W. F. Horwedel Passed Away
William F. Horwedel
William F. Horwedel, familiarly known as "Chadwin" passed away at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 1939, following a stroke, which he suffered three weeks ago. He was the son of Lewis and Elizabeth Horwedel, and was born at Zanesville, Ohio, on Nov. 23, 1875. He operated a pool hall in Norway for thirty-four years. He was kind hearted and there are many here who received help from him in time of need. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
He is survived by one brother, John, of Howard, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Feireison of Springville and Mrs. Mary Whalen of Cedar Rapids.
The funeral services will be held at St. Michael's church at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, in charge of Rev. Wm. Kunkel, with burial at St. Michaels cemetery.
