Rites Thursday for Mrs. Anna K. Hiler

TIMESNEWS - Mrs. Anna K. Hiler, 78, long time resident of Vinton, died Tuesday morning at the Virginia Gay Hospital annex following a long illness.
She was born Feb. 2, 1896 at Buckville, a daughter of Mahlon and Ida Shaeffer Brown, and married David E. Hiler at Vinton on May 21, 1913. They lived in Vinton until moving to Waterloo a few years ago. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are her husband at the Virginia Gay annex; one son; Darrell M. of Vinton; one daughter, Mrs R.C. (Myrna) Brunko of Waterloo; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son; one brother ; one half brother; two sisters; one half sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thrusday in the White- Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Smith of Calvary United Methodist Church in Waterloo officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
