Eleanor Herron

Blairstown - Eleanor Herron, 69, died Friday morning, April 5, 1985 at St. Croix Valley Memorial Hospital in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, following a sudden illness.

She was born on June 8, 1915 at Blairstown. She was the daughter of Charles and Jean Gibbs. In September of 1943 she married Hilbert O. Herron in Iowa City.

Mrs. Herron was a retired beautician and bank employee and a long time member of the Eastern Star formerly of Blairstown and now affiliated with the chapter in Belle Plaine.

She is survived by one son, Hilbert, of Shafer, Minnesota; one half sister Ethel and one half brother Gerry Gibbs both of Glendale California; one grandson, Derik. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at the Presbyterian Church in Blairstown, Tuesday, April 9, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Mildred Board Grubbs will conduct the service. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.

Friends may call at the Russell Funeral Home anytime after noon Monday. There will be a public order of Eastern Star service at the Funeral Home in Blairstown at 7 p.m. Monday evening A memorial has been established.

Monday Rites Set For Hilbert Herron
Hilbert Oliver Herron

Blairstown- Hilbert O. Herron, 57, postmaster here for the last 26 years, died Friday after a long illness.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor, a son, Hilbert H., Minneapolis; three brothers, Merle, Minneapolis; Homer, Colona, Ill., and Richard, Alexis, Ill.

He was a member of the masonic lodge and the Presbyterian church.

Services will be Monday at 10 at the Presbyterian church. Masonic services at 7:30 Sunday at Peffers-Halverson where friends may call after 2 Saturday
