Roy L. Harrelson dies at age 70
Roy L. Harrelson
Shellsburg-Roy L Harrelson, 70, retired owner and operator of a restaurant and drug store in Shellsburg, died Sunday night in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
He was born Aug. 22, 1902 at Boynton, Mo. and was married April 1, 1934 in Monmouth, Ill, to Virginia Cook. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Bonham of Denver, Colo., Mrs Lyle Naylor of Vinton, Mrs Robert Kibbie and Beverly Needham of Shellsburg; three sons, Donald of Cedar Rapids, Marlyn of Vinton and Thomas of Shellsburg; 20 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Bess Blue of Cedar Rapids and Mary Leach of Milan Mo. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Trinity Church in Shellsburg, with the Rev. Glen Lindquist officiating. Burial will be in the Shellsburg Cemetery...
