Abe M. Hansen, Ex-Farmer, Dies
(Abe) Eberhard M. Hansen
(Abe) Eberhard M. Hansen 73, retired farmer, died suddenly Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack in the Shreeves-Francis Abstract office.
Mr. Hansen was born Nov 25, 1891, at McNabb, Ill.,a son to John M. and Carrie Clausen Hansen, and married Goldie Seufferlein near LaPorte City Feb. 10, 1915. They lived in Black Hawk county and Benton county all their married life. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.
Survivors include his wife, five sons, Eldred of Newhall, Glenn of Freedom, Wis., Richard of Bountiful, Utah, Leland of Winthrop and Albert of Vinton; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (rest missing)
Services, 2 pm at the EUB Church Interment at Evergreen Cemetery

Margaret A. Hansen
Margaret A. Hansen, 82, died sunday, July 20, 2003, in her home after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, By Father Paul Baldwin. Burial: St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Norway. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. today at St. Michael's Parish Center, with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements with Brosh Funeral Service, Norway.
Margaret was born May 14, 1921, the daughter of John C. and Dora (Frese) Schulte of Norway. She married Alfred hansen on September 13, 1944 in Norway. She graduated from Norway High School and Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids. Margaret taught for many years ina one room school house and fater marriage was a substitute tacher. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church Norway and enjoyed volunteer work for Hospice. Survivors include four children, Russell Hansen, Bondurant, Ruth Ann (Danny) Thoman, Walford, Fay (Gerald) Schuerer, Amana, and Joleen (Dave) Discoll, Williamsburg; grandchildren, Emily, Jim (Leah) and Sarah Hansen, Shelley and Darren Thoman, Robert Schuerer, Mathew (Mary) and Monica Driscoll; and great-granddaughter, Andrea Hansen.
Also surviving are a brother, Glen (Dorothy) Schulte; sisters, Lorene (Orville) Blankman, Marjorie (Leonard) Jansa and Barbara (Regis) Arp; and sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Violet and Barbara Schulte.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers George, Bernard, Herbert and Ray Schulte; sisters, Marcella Montague and Sister Mary Lumena; and a grandson, Peter Hansen.
