Mrs. Haloupek rites held 2 p.m. Wed., Jan 16

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday), Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Hrabak funeral home in Belle Plaine for Mrs. Frank L. Haloupek who died suddenly at her home Monday morning, Jan. 14, at 1:40 of congestion of the heart.

The daughter of Joseph and Anna Sevcik, Kathryn Bess Sevcik was born on Sept. 25, 1885, in Tama.

On June 3, 1908, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Haloupek in Belle Plaine, who survives with five children: Donald, Cedar Rapids; Dorothy McCausland, Belle Plaine; George Haloupek, Blairstown; Jack, Muscatine; and William, Marshalltown. A son, Walter O. Haloupek, is deceased. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Rena Shefchik, Tama, many nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

Mrs. Haloupek was wonderful mother, kind neighbor and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a great homebody and loved her family, enjoying very much little things done for her and always so considerate and appreciative.

She was a member of the First Congregational church, the Royal Neighbors of America and a Gold Star Mother.

Rev. Alvin Boettcher, pastor of the First Congregational church, Belle Plaine, officiated at the service

Richard Gatrelle was the soloist, accompanied by Marie Christman as the organist.

Pallbearers were: George Preston, James Stutzman, R. O. Burrows, Jr., Donald Trueblood, Edward Shanda and Ernest Dudek.

Interment was at Oak Hill cemetery, Belle Plaine.
