Wife of Pioneer Veteran Passes Away After Long Illness - Husband Knew Abraham Lincoln

Special to The Gazette

Blairstown, Iowa, Dec. 22 - Mrs. Nancy A. Geisking, wife of Henry F., one of the pioneer residents of this place and a veteran of the civil war, died this morning after an illness of two years.

She is survived by six sons and three daughters, besides the husband, who was recently the subject of an extended and most interesting story in The Gazette, being one of the few living veterans who had a personal acquaintance with President Lincoln. Mrs. Geisking was a splendid woman and was highly regarded in the community.
