Martin Luther Dice
M. L. Dice, 76, died Sunday morning at his home in Vinton following an illness of several months; funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Fry-Holland funeral home with Rev. Rex Kemp officiating; burial will be in Evergreen cemetery; Mr. Dice was born Feb 18, 1871, at Western, Ia., son of Mr and Mrs. Samuel Dice; on Dec. 1, 1897, he married Minnie Soden near Shellsburg; surviving are his wife, a daughter Mrs. Albert Gintert, Sibley, Ia.; a son, Floyd Dice, Vinton; and Mrs. Lucy Henderson, Cedar Rapids, a sister; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; for a number of years Mr. Dice farmed near Shellsburg before retiring to Vinton in 1939.
