Ellen Dailey
Died - Ellen Fanning, Thursday, April 26, 1894. She was born in Stevenson county, Illinois, in 1859. At the age of 26? she came to Vinton where she has resided ever since. She was married to Joseph Dailey in 1885. To them three children were born, one of which has gone to meet her in the better land and two survive her. She bore her long illness with patience and resignation submitting entirely to the will of God. When the last spark of her life had died out the world lost a kind and christian wife, mother, sister and friend. The funeral services were held Saturday, April 28 at the Catholic church, and the remains were laid to rest in the west cemetery.
