Charlie C. Crooks
Vinton - Following illness of 18 months Charlie C. Crooks, 70, died at his home near Cedar Rapids of heart ailment; born in Big Grove township Jan. 31, 1875; married April 7, 1897, to Mary C. Merchant; leaves one son, Dale, of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Ralph, of Cedar Rapids, and two granddaughters; wife and two children preceded him; lived in Vinton community all his life until about two years ago; funeral here Tuesday.
