VINTON Katie M. Bonesteel, 89, died Monday in Virginia Gay Hospital Annex. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Campbell-Russell-Overton Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to service time Friday. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg. Survivors include three sons, John of Vinton, Oliver of Greencastle, Pa., and Robert of Marion; four daughters, Ila Lambert of Douglas, Ariz., Ruth Olson of Vinton, Marjorie Nearmyer of Newton and Daisy Roehr of Marion; and a brother, Harry Weisert of Cedar Falls. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

SHELLSBURG- Mrs. Louisa Bonesteel, 78 pioneer resident of Shellsburg died at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thurley (Viola) Mullinex in Shellsburg, following a lingering illnes. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter, in 1953.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by four other children Dewey and LeVern of Shellsburg, Benny of Milton, Fla., and Fern of McLeansboro. Ill. Two sisters, Mrs. Vera Nicodemus of Port Orchad Was., and Mrs Amerlia Francisco of Shellsburg and one brother, Oscar Hasse of Standwood. 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in grace Trinity church Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Earl Travis will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The body is at the Fry and Holland funeral home in Vinton where friends may call after 3:00 p.m. today.
