JOHN M. BIGGER IS SUMMONED
John M. Bigger
Passes Away at His Home in Vinton Saturday Afternoon at 3:O'clock
Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock John M. Bigger quietly pased away. He had been ill since early last November and on account of his advanced age his recovery was hardly expected.. Mr Bigger came with his family to Vinton in early 1885 from Jefferson County, Ohio where he was born in 1833. He was an accomplished musician and for many years taught piano and stringed instruments at the college for the blind. He was married in 1867 to Miss Kate McVey of Licking County, Ohio who passed away in this city in 1891
John Bigger was a man of quiet disposition who loved his home and family and took his greatest joy in being in their midst. His friends were limited only to his acquaintances and his cheery greeting will be sadly missed
Two children, Shannon of Vinton and John of Wapello and Miss Iantha Bigger, a sister, are left to mourn a loving and kind father and brother
The funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. T. Nichols. Internment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
