Vinton -- -- Mary Ethel Bergstrand, 73, Vinton, died Thurdsday afternoon, September 15, 1988, at the Virginia Gay Hospital following a long illness...Born April 3, 1915, in Benton County, she was the daughter of Arl and Sadie Grimm McNeal. She married John Bergstrand in Kohoka, MO, March 5, 1951.

Mrs. Bergstrand was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Benton County her entire married life. She attended school in Benton County.

She is survived by her husband; three sisters, Mable Lindberg, Alice Peterson, Ella Holst all of Vinton; one brother, Harvey McNeal, Vinton.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles McNeal, and two sisters Pearl Noe and Edna Noe. Funeral services will be at Campbell-Russell Funeral Home Tuedsay September 20, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Mark Berbano will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Campbell-Russell Funeral Home and until funeral service time Tuesday.
