Funeral Services Held Sunday Afternoon The Ayres Funeral parlors were filled to capacity Sunday afternoon with friends and relatives to pay tribute to one of Keystone pioneer mothers, Mrs. Anna Allers who passed away in her home Thursday evening at 10:15, March 18th following an illness of one week due to a heart attack and complications.

Anna Allers, daughter of Hans and Gesche Allers was born Welsterm Schleswig, Holstein, Germany on January 27, 1871. She came to this country with her parents and family at the age of 12 years. On September 11, 1891, she was united in marriage to John Allers in Vinton, lowa. To this union five children were born. Ben and Henry Allers of Keystone and Mrs. John B. Franklin of Vinton. Two daughters, Mrs Lillie Lebrue and Alice Pohlman preceded her in death.

Her husband died on November 11th, 1921. The family lived on their farm near Keystone until 1914 when they retired and moved to the home in which she passed away.

Short services were held from the home at 1:30 and from the Ayres Funeral home at 2 o'clock with the Rev W. B Tarr in charge. Pallbearers were: Ben Eggers, Dale Allers, Leonard Pohlman, Carl Stueck, Leroy Pohlman and Donald Allers. Burial was in the Keystone Cemetery.

Mrs. Allers was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. She is survived by three children, Ben and Harry Allers of Keystone and Mrs. John B Franklin of Vinton. There are three sisters, Mrs. Louie Homire, Mrs. Wm. Eggers and Mrs. N. Hennings; 2 brothers. Hans Junge of Keystone and Henry Junge of Dysart. There are ten grandchildren, Dale and Kenneth Allers, Mrs. Carol Olsen, Donald Allers, Leroy, Leonard and Howard Pohlman, Arlene Stueck, John Lebrue and Dorothy Franklin and four great grand children, Roger and Robert pohlman, Theodore Stueck and Vickie Jo Olsen. All were present at the services except Kenneth Allers, Clarence Olsen and John Lebrue who are serving in the armed forces.
