Elgin Cemetery

Walnut Township, Section 8.

The cemetery is about 1/4 mile north of Mystic on Highway T14, on the west side of the road.

One acre of land was deeded to Walnut Township by John Scott in 1853 for the cemetery. He founded Walnut City and donated the land and built the Christian Church in Walnut City along with his brother.
