ROESE PLOT CEMETERY The Roese Plot is comprised of a vault on the Willard Kerndt farm in the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 6-98-4 which may be reached by traveling northwest from Churchtown on State Highway 9 about 1.5 mile to the second improved road beyond the Lansing Ridge Cemetery, thence south-southwesterly .75 mile to the Kerndt farm. Confirmed burials there were those of Charles Roese and Sophia Charlotte Roese. Other family members who may also have been buried there were Anna R., Otto, Richard who served as a member of Company B., Iowa 12th Infantry Regiment in the Civil War, Edward, and his wife Augusta (although they had a lot in the Lansing Ridge Cemetery for which Edward paid for care each year through 1913 (when he may have died) and Augusta or Mrs. Ed or Mrs. A.
