Allamakee co. researchers lost a friend, contributor & look-up volunteer in November when Georgia Nuehring Bruns passed away on November 3, 2009. We extend our sympathy and condolences to her family.

Summer has wound down and autumn is upon us in all her glory! Several researchers have emailed me about their research trips to Allamakee county over the summer. Many of them mentioned that information they found on the Allamakee co. IAGenWeb site was instrumental in guiding their research. A representative of the United States State Department found his way to Allamakee co. IAGenWeb! He requested a copy of the photo of John R. Mott for use on a website being put together about Nobel Peace Prize winners. I also received many thank-you emails, but unfortunately had a 'senior moment' and somehow deleted all but the three notes below.
