 Edward Schobert left Iowa after returning from the Army in WWI. He married Josephine Grace Cabral on June 9, 1922 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. In Sept. 1922 they purchased a 10 acre farm in Lathrop, CA where they raised poultry, walnuts and almonds. Edward lived there until July 12, 1963 when he passed away at home, age 70. He was postmaster for the Lathrop Post Office from June 1944 - January 1963. |
