To Wed Aug. 5

Announcements have been received here of the approaching marriage of Wave Laura Kathryn Wilson, formerly of Waterloo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson of Independence, to Kenneth A. Kalbfleisch of the navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kalbfleisch of Villa Park, Ill.

The wedding will be an event at Madison avenue Presbyterian church in New York City at 3 p.m. on Aug. 5

The bride-elect is a graduate of Gates Business college and was employed at the John Deere tractor Co. and later as a secretary and bookkeeper at the Illinois-Iowa division of the Illinois Central railroad system. She enlisted in the Waves on July 3, 1944 , received her boot training at Hunter college, New York City, and completed a specialized instructors course at Great Lakes, Ill. She holds the rating of special gunnery instructor third class.

Mr. Kalbflesisch has been in the navy three years as an electrical maintenance man. Both are ostentation at the United States naval training station armed guard gunnery in New York City.
