Miss Amy J. Swisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irl Swisher, departed on Saturday afternoon to spend the week-end in Kansas City, Mo., with her cousin Miss Phyllis Thompson, en route to St. Louis, Mo. where she will enroll on Tuesday at the United States cadet nurses corps at the St Louis City hospital.

Since October 1942, Miss Swisher has had a secretarial position with the fuel oil rationing board.

Among the many farewell parties given in the past week to honor Miss Swisher was the one on Friday night when her aunt, Miss Millard C. Thompson and Mrs. Olen E. Elliott entertained at the Elliott home.

After an evening of bunko games, Miss Swisher was directed to a "pot-of-gold" where she received a shower of personal gifts. A rainbow was effected over the buffet and the "pot-of-gold" arranged on the buffet was reflected in a large mirror. The pastel shades were also carried out in the table appointments and refreshments.
