Mary Louise Smith

 

Miss Mary Louise Smith and Miss Marion Lucille Manson have been commissioned ensigns in the women’s auxiliary of the United States Naval reserve.  Miss Manson is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Manson, 1603 George street and Miss Smith is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Smith, 5125 Morningside avenue.

Mary Anna Louise Smith Loughborough was born Sept. 13, 1911 to Clarence English and Kathryn Jane Martin Smith. She died Sept. 11, 1999 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

CDR Smith served with the U.S. Navy WAVES in World War II and Korea. She was married to William Ellery Loughborough. William served in World War II and Korea with the U.S. Navy.
