Mae Qual, daughter of Mrs. Sidney Qual, 207 Vaughn street and Barbara Russell, Nora Springs, Ia., who enlisted in the Wac through Waterloo recruiting station and who were sworn into the corps on Feb. 13 have received their orders to report for duty on Feb. 28 at Ft. Des Moines. They will go to Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga, for basic training in the medical technician division.

Iowa Volunteers to Serve at Schick Hospital

WILLIAMSBURG VETERAN AND BRIDE -- Tech (5/g) Barbara Russell, Nora Springs, and Tech. (5/g) LeRoy Driscoll, Williamsburg, were married Wednesday in the Schick General hospital chapel at Clinton by a Catholic chaplain. The bride, who joined the women's army six months ago, is in the registrar's office at Schick. T/5 Driscoll has been in service four years, including 20 months in Europe , and 9 months in the hospital. At present he is on furlough from Percy Jones Convalescent hospital, Battle Creek, Mich. The couple were attended by T/5 Donna Krumm, Charles City, and the bridegroom's brother, Vincent Driscoll, Williamsburg.

Barbara Russell Is Married at Schick

Nora Springs -- Mr. and Mrs. Selby Russell have announced the marriage of their daughter, T/5 Barbara Christine Russell, WAC, to T/5 LeRoy S. Driscoll of Williamsburg. The marriage took place Aug. 22, in the Schick general hospital chapel at Clinton. The bride's parents attended the ceremony.

The bride, who joined the Women's Army corps 6 months ago, is in the registrar's office at Schick. T/5 Driscoll has been in the service 4 years, including 20 months in Europe and 9 months in the hospital. At present he is at Percy Jones Convalescent hospital, Battel Creek, Mich., awaiting discharge.

The couple was attended by T/5 Donna Krumm of Cedar Rapids and the bridegroom's brother, Vincent E. Driscoll of Williamsburg.

Mrs. Driscoll was graduated from the local high school and then took a year's training at the American Institute of Business in Des Moines She attended North Central college at Naperville, Ill. for one year and Iowa States Teachers' College at Cedar Falls for 3 years; and was on the faculty at Luther and Rudd schools as music instructor for one year each.

Barbara Christine Russell Southwick was born Nov. 25, 1919 to Thurman Selby and Lucretia Barbara Piehn Russell. She died Apr. 25, 1984 and is buried in Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was married to Emery Develo Southwick.
