Abigail Neilson [sic] left Tuesday for Chicago to join a group of WAVES to go to training center at Hunter college, New York. Miss Neilson enlisted in the WAVES a few weeks ago and has been waiting for her call.

Abigail Nielson of Lone Tree Is To Join WAVES

Lone Tree -- Miss Abigail Nielson left this week for Chicago where she joined a group of WAVES who were sent to the training center at Hunter college, N.Y. Miss Nielson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielson of this place and enlisted in the WAVES several weeks ago.

Lone Tree, Ia. -- Abigail Neilson [sic], daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Neilson [sic], has been made technician second class in the WAVES, and is being transferred from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Kingsville, Texas.

Abigail Neilson [sic], specialist, second class, of Kingsville, Texas, passed a 15-day furlough recently with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Neilson [sic]. A 1941 graduate of Lone Tree high school, she enlisted in the WAVES in August, 1943.

Lone Tree - Abigail Nielson, serving with the Waves at Kingsville, Tex., where she is an instructor in navigation and on a Link trainer, is now being given a course of flying lessons, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson, have been advised.
