LEAVE TO JOIN WACS - Three young women from Davenport and one from Muscatine left Tuesday night for Des Moines to start their basic training with the WAC's. Pvt. Lolita Mitchell Is With WACS in Utah

Pvt. Lolita Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Mitchell, 205 East Dennison avenue, is a member of the WAC unit that has just left Ft. Des Moines, for duty with the army at Hill field, Utah.

WAC companies on duty with the army are self-sufficient. In addtion to to the women trained to do army jobs, WAC companies also include mess and company personnel.
