Lt. Margaret Malcolm

 

 

Littleton -- Mrs. Clifford Baldwin, has received word that her sister, Lt. Margaret Malcolm of the army nurses corps, has arrived safely somewhere in England, Lieutenant Malcolm was a nurse in California before she entered the service Nov. 1, 1943.

Littleton -- Lt. Margaret Malcolm army nurse in England spent seven day leave in October at Stratford-upon-Avon and saw the birthplace of Shakespeare, Ann Hathways' cottage and other places of historical interest. Lt. Malcolm is a sister of Mrs Clifford Baldwin of Littleton and spent her childhood here.

Lt. Margaret Malcolm, army nurse, has arrived home after serving 14 months in the 159th general hospital in England. The 159th general hospital was a 2,000 bed hospital and the entire unit returned to the United States. En route home, Lieutenant Malcolm had the pleasure of visiting with Princess Julianna, also a passenger on the Queen Elizabeth. While in England Lieutenant Malcolm made several sight-seeing trips, some via bicycle, in England, and she also visited points in Scotland. As for food, her first request was for bananas, "I haven't had one for 15 months." Lieutenant Malcolm entered the service in November, 1943, and will report to Fort Sheridan, Ill.
