TO NEWPORT NEWS -- Lt. Aulda Marie Donahue of the army nurse corps left Friday for Newport News, Va. after spending a two week leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Donahue, 1220 Fifth avenue. A graduate of St. Francis academy and the Mercy hospital school of nursing, Lt. Donahue had been stationed in North Africa since October.

Local Nurse Is First Lieutenant

Aulda Marie Donahue has been commissioned a first lieutenant in the army nurse corps at Camp Miles Standish, Boston, Mass.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Donahue, 1220 First avenue, Lt. Donahue spend six months in North Africa, was returned here in April on furlough, then sent to Newport News, Va. From Virginia, Lt. Donahue was transferred to Boston, where she ins now stationed.

She is a graduate of St. Francis academy and of the Mercy hospital school of nursing in 1942. She entered the A.N.C. in March, 1943.
