MARRIED IN HOME CEREMONY

Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Chase, 321 Aurora ave., announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth Arlene Chase, aviation machinists mate, third class of the WAVES, to Robert A. Savage, specialist 'A' first class, USNR, which took place Sunday at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride is a graduate of North High School and before enlisting in the service was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Co.

Mr. Savage is a graduate of Josh Tarlton Junior college at Stephenville, Tex., and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Tex, where he majored in physical education and participated in all major sports.

The couple will leave Sunday for Norman, Okla, where both are stationed at the naval training station.

Ruth Arlene Chase Savage was born May 20, 1923 to Guy H. and Judith Stone Chase. She died Feb. 14, 2011 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Chase served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
