Des Moines in the Services

Miss Ina Van Laningham, daughter of Mrs. M.E. Van Laningham, 1219 Fifty-eighth st., will leave June 5 for Washington D.C., where she will undergo two-week training period before leaving for overseas duty with the Red Cross.

Miss Van Laningham, a former dramatic and English instructor at Creston, Ia. attended Drake university of Iowa. She joined the Creston faculty last fall after teaching at Robinsdale, Minn., and Hampton, Ia. In the Red Cross she will serve as staff assistant in the recreational division.

Ina Van Laningham To Germany

Among the prominent alumni of A.I.B. whoa re employed in foreign service is Miss Ina Van Laningham of Des Moines who has taken a a postion in the supervision and training department of Army Exchange Service in Hochst, Germany. This agency handles all items sold to American service men.

Many A.I.B. graduates are employed in foreign service throughout the world including Shanghai, Cairo, Buenos Aires, Ottawa, Mexico City, Stockholm, London, Frankfort, etc. AN A.I.B. graduate, Marie Jacobs of Iowa City, recently reported the Kronberg jewelry robbery in Germany.
