Six Women Start Driving Waterloo Busses

War has added a feminine touch at the helm of Waterloo bus service. Six women bus drivers who have been trained by the Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Northern Railway company to relieve the shortage caused by calling of men to the armed services are shown. Several of them were to take over various bus lines Tuesday. Others will go on duty in the near future. All have been doing practice driving in various parts of the city. They are (left to right) Maxine Stevenson, 630 Ansborough avenue; Marian Trask, Route 2; Martha Madsen 733 Baltimore street; Thelma Springer, 392 Vaughan street; Ann Allen, 130 West Eleventh street, and Florence Gosser, 420 Commercial street.
